台中世界花卉博覽會將於107年11月登場，台中市政府規畫8個具在地特色的綠廊景觀工程小花海，其中位於大里區的「魚躍.愉悅花海」，因其基地下方為旱溪，不僅有豐沛水源，也讓鳥類、魚類與兩棲類共生共存，因此以「魚與水源」為主題，凸顯孕育豐富生態環境的自然空間。建設局表示，整體分區小花海預計2018年初開工，施工期約6個月，完工後不僅為花博提前暖身，也讓市民在居家附近體驗繽紛花海。
建設局指出，「魚躍.愉悅花海」佔地約一公頃，整體以「水」為主軸，代表孕育萬物之源，「魚」則表現旱溪水質及生態淨化成功，將兩元素結合帶入基地作為視覺主景，利用水紋、漣漪等及型態來象徵水的意象，編排花海顏色及形狀。
其中特殊的造景佈置「魚釣人」，透過將魚擬人化並顛倒人與魚的食物鏈表現，希望讓參與小花海的民眾更加重視環境保育的理念；另外，「魚躍.愉悅花海」鄰近興大康橋，希望藉由繽紛花海與康橋美景相互呼應，讓民眾步行穿梭在各公園裡，享受被花海簇擁的氛圍。
建設局提到，台中世界花卉博覽會於2018年11月3日至2019年4月24日舉辦，展區內將融入綠色Green (G)、自然Nature (N)、人群People (P)等GNP元素，並結合在地特色展現在地之美，以各式生態性植栽營造各區特色，呈現花與綠的公共空間美學。
